Movement at the Painted Hall
A choreographed dance film set within the atmosphere of The Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich — a space originally built as a grand ceremonial dining room and celebrated for James Thornhill’s painted Baroque interior. The cinematography was built around smooth dolly movements, careful framing and a strong sense of depth, allowing the dancer to move through the space with elegance and precision. The Old Royal Naval College remains a place of learning, culture and public life, now home to the University of Greenwich and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, while also serving as a striking backdrop for music, performance and film.
